GEMBALLA ROADSTER GT

based on Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren

McLaren is now part of GEMBALLA's core competence, and we offer not only the 12C GT package, but also upgrades for the legendary Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. To keep this spectacular supercar at the forefront of looks and performance, GEMBALLA sharpens its claws with an extended carbon-fibre front spoiler lip, ultra-light 20-inch wheels, and a power upgrade to 661hp. These changes are enough to turn heads and re-ignite interest in this living classic.

With its carbon-fibre body, the SLR Roadster perfectly fits the GEMBALLA lightweight creed. The SLR has one known chink in its armour; front-end instability at very high speeds. GEMBALLA overcomes this with their carbon-fibre spoiler lip, whose contours were designed to be as visually enticing as they are aerodynamically effective. Apart from giving the nose of the SLR an even more purposeful look, this natural carbon-fibre spoiler lip incorporates LED daytime running lights at its top outer edges for enhanced driving safety. Good looks with a practical purpose!
The lightweight concept of the SLR continues in sophisticated race-inspired chassis whose suspension arms are made from aluminium to keep the unsprung masses low. To achieve a superior balance between dynamics and comfort, GEMBALLA has replaced the factory springs and dampers with a bespoke KW coil-over suspension system that allows the driver to switch between Comfort and Sport settings at the touch of a button. The 20-inch diameter, ultra-light forged GT Sport Forged alloy wheels radically change the SLR’s appearance. With five large spokes whose width diminishes as they converge on a relatively small centre hub, these wheels give the car a more contemporary look. Available in Black and Gunmetal Magic, or the colour of your choice, they are lighter than the original factory 19-inch alloys. So even with the larger rubber footprint, unsprung weight is no greater than before.
On request GEMBALLA’s engineers can optimise the performance of the SLR’s supercharged 5.5 litre V8 motor, taking the standard 626 hp/460 kW output to 661 hp/486 kW. This exceeds even the 650hp of the exclusive SLR 722 Edition, and boosts torque to 830 Nm. The resulting performance increase sees the 0-100km/h sprint covered in 3.5 sec, with a Vmax of 338km/h. The fact that you can hear every one of the 661 horses roaring loudly all the way through the already extrovert side-mounted factory exhaust pipes is icing on the cake.
GEMBALLA originally started with bespoke interiors, so it is natural for one of its cars to feature personal accents from the wide range of off-the-peg leather and Alcantara colours on offer. For those with one-off requests, the highest quality leather, and plain or patterned fabrics in specially dyed colours, can be combined to create a statement of automotive haute couture. Trim inserts in aluminum, stainless steel, carbon-fibre, wood, or even real diamonds add to a sporty or elegant theme, while even the smallest switch and panel can be colour-coded. Hi-Fi connoisseurs and tech junkies are welcome to bring their ideas to GEMBALLA. From an integrated champagne fridge to a sophisticated entertainment center with surround sound, your dream can be transformed into reality here, with the experience and inventiveness of GEMBALLA’s master craftsmen ensuring a perfect finish every time.
